Tamashii Nations “Movie Realization” Ronin Prototype Boba Fett Review
Tamashii Nations is well known in the toy community for their unique vision of reimagining Star Wars characters in the style of feudal Japanese warriors. A Samurai-style Return of the Jedi Boba Fett figure was released in 2015, complete with throwing knives, katana, an EE-3-inspired blunderbuss rifle, and too many points of articulation to easily count at a glance.
Fast forward two years, and Tamashii Nations announced the release of a white prototype version of everyone’s favorite Samurai armored bounty hunter at the 2017 Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. Available for purchase for the first time a few months later at San Diego Comic-Con for $95, the Tamashii Nations “Movie Realization” Ronin Prototype Boba Fett is a repaint of the original, complete with the same set of accessories. When Boba Fett figures are repainted and released as a prototype version, minor inaccuracies may sometimes result. However, it works quite well in this case and the resulting figure is nothing short of spectacular.
In addition to its SDCC debut, the figure has a planned release on the Premium Bandai website at an unspecified date and has also sinced surfaced as a pre-order on various online stores.
