Sideshow Exclusive Edition McQuarrie Boba Fett Prototype 18.5 Inch Statue Review
The Sideshow Exclusive Edition McQuarrie Boba Fett Prototype statue is still unreleased, but has been available for pre-order since late 2015. Just like Hasbro’s 30th anniversary McQuarrie Boba Fett 3.75″ action figure, this limited edition Sideshow Collectibles statue will feature two heads: McQuarrie’s original helmet with bisected visor and breathing apparatus, and a somewhat more familiar rendition of what we know as a Mandalorian helmet. Standing at over 18 inches tall and weighing in at ten pounds, this is a legitimate work of art that any serious Star Wars fan would want in their collection.
As can be expected from Sideshow Collectibles, McQuarrie’s Boba Fett is brought to life in unprecedented stunning detail. The bounty hunter’s roots from early Darth Vader designs and as a “super trooper” concept can clearly be seen. To top it off, the statue is shown leaping over a Slave I-inspired base.
