LEGO White Boba Fett Minifigure: Supertrooper Version

There is no doubt that the LEGO Star Wars DK Exclusive White Boba Fett Prototype is a pretty spectacular looking minifigure, but have you ever wondered what a 1978 screen test “Supertrooper” version would look like? I have, and one night my curiosity got the better of me so I fired up some imaging software when I really should have been sleeping. After fumbling around at the edge of coherence I came up with a digital mock-up of what it might look like. Below is the imaginary minifigure hanging out next to its real counterpart.

Would I personally like to see this version of the minifigure produced? Perhaps somewhat ironically, the answer is no. As a character, Boba Fett in prototype armor still has a certain aura about him; too many white versions (in general, not just as a LEGO minifigure) would risk diluting the mystique. It would be best to at least hold off on the next rendition until sometime after LEGO creates an updated mold of our favorite bounty hunter.

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce the fan art section of this website. While I would never be so bold as to call this digital simulation a work of art, future posts here definitely will be. Stay tuned, and thanks for visiting!
